Resounding win for Mitsotakis, who has majority comfortably in reach
Sunday’s elections brought a resounding victory for New Democracy and Kyriakos Mitsotakis, while delivering a major blow to the main opposition party SYRIZA.
Based on the first official projection of the final result, based on actual votes counted, New Democracy was on course to gain 41 pct of the vote, while SYRIZA was only expected to win 20 pct.
