European Commission's travel guidance brings some optimism for Greek tourism sector
Greece has welcomed the European Commission’s guidance on travel and tourism as a first step towards reopening a vital section of the economy in time for the summer season.
While the Commission did not adopt all the proposals put forward by Athens, the issuing of a coordinated position on key aspects of travel was greeted with relief by the government and representatives of the tourism industry.
