The use of face masks for debates in Parliament became compulsory on Wednesday as Greek authorities try to re-instill a sense of caution in the public after seeing the number of coronavirus cases rise significantly this week.
The decision to make MPs and ministers wear masks, primarily to send a message to watching Greeks, was taking after the government announced that wearing face protection would again be compulsory for a range of closed spaces.
